Film Equipment Rental in Miami

ASK Media Productions rents lighting, grip and electric into Miami and Miami-Dade from our own inventory. Owning the gear is the point: a Miami booking does not depend on a sub-rental house answering the phone at seven in the morning.

Lighting

  • ARRI M40 and M18 HMI – the daylight sources. In Miami they mostly exist to fight the sun rather than imitate it.
  • ARRI SkyPanel S60 and S30 – full-colour soft sources, quick to re-rig between setups.
  • Aputure STORM series – XT52, Electro Storm XT26 and STORM 1200x, with the Spotlight Max for hard light and gobo work.
  • Aputure LS – 1200d Pro, 600d Pro, 600c, 600x, 300x, p300 Nova, MC kits and B7C bulbs.
  • LiteGear LiteMats – 2L, S2 LiteMat 2 and 4, LiteMat Plus 4, for low ceilings and rigged positions.
  • Astera Titans and NYX bulbs and LitePanel Astra 6x – battery and wireless, no cable run.

Grip, electric and trucks

  • 3-ton and 2-ton grip trucks, packaged and ready.
  • 1-ton Sprinter package – the one that actually fits down a Wynwood side street or into a Brickell garage.
  • Tow-plant generator for full location power.
  • Honda generators at 7000, 3000 and 2000 watts, quiet enough to live near set.

Cameras and glass are on our Miami camera rental page, and everything together sits under equipment rental.

Where Miami days go wrong

Almost always power and parking, in that order. Older Miami Beach buildings will not carry what a modern package draws; a Design District location may have the amperage and nowhere legal to put the truck; a beach permit can rule out a tow-plant entirely. And a three-ton is the wrong answer on half the streets worth shooting on, which is why the Sprinter exists.

Give us the address and the look when you book, not on the day, and we will size the generator, pick the truck and flag the problem while it is still solvable.

Rates, pickup and delivery

Packages book daily, flat, or as a three-day week, quoted per job rather than off a rate card.

Free delivery covers five miles around the Boynton Beach base, so Miami is a pickup or a paid delivery – and when a truck is already rolling, the difference is often smaller than people assume. Out-of-state orders ship via airline cargo. Gear out Friday and back Monday bills as one day.

Crew with it, if you want it

Gear goes out on its own or with the people who use it – gaffers, grips, electrics we work with regularly rather than names off a list. Full crews, casting, location scouting and Miami-Dade permitting are on our Miami production page, and our 6,600 square foot studio is forty minutes north when a location falls through.

Questions we get asked

Can I rent lighting and grip without crew?

Yes. Crew is available but never required.

How is it priced?

Daily, flat, or a three-day week.

Do you deliver to Miami?

Yes, for a fee – free delivery only reaches five miles from Boynton Beach. Pickup is always an option and out-of-state goes by airline cargo.

What do I need to have in place?

Production rental insurance, plus auto liability if you are taking a truck or the Sprinter.
