Sony FX9 Rental

Thirteen FX9 bodies on the shelf – enough to put a matched five-camera package on a multi-cam day without a single sub-rental.

Rate: $500 per day. Daily, flat or a three-day week – out Friday and back Monday bills as a single day.

The FX9 is the workhorse of our camera inventory and the body most South Florida crews ask for by name. A full-frame 6K sensor downsampled to 4K, autofocus that actually holds, and an electronic variable ND built into the body – which is what makes it the right answer for documentary, interview and event days where the light will not wait for a filter change.

What ships with it

Body, onboard EVF with eyepiece and hood, top handle, Sony servo control hand grip, battery charger and power supply brick, BP-U series battery, cheese plate and onboard mic mount. Media, batteries and lens support are quoted with the package.

Specifications

  • 6K full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor, oversampled to 4K
  • Dual Base ISO 800 / 4000
  • Sony rates the sensor at 15+ stops of dynamic range
  • Electronic variable ND built into the body
  • Fast Hybrid autofocus with phase-detection coverage across the frame
  • S-Cinetone colour straight out of the camera
  • XAVC-I and XAVC-L recording
  • Sony E-mount, PL adaptable

What it is good for

Documentary and interview work, corporate and executive video, branded social, multi-camera live capture, and any run-and-gun day where one operator has to handle exposure, focus and movement at once. It is also the body to pick when you need several cameras that match without grading them together afterwards.

Availability, rates and delivery

We hold thirteen FX9 bodies in Boynton Beach. Rentals book daily, flat, or as a three-day week, and anything out on a Friday and back Monday bills as a single day. Free delivery covers five miles around the base; Fort Lauderdale and Miami are outside that, so those are either a pickup or a paid delivery – we will tell you which is cheaper for your dates. Out-of-state orders ship via airline cargo. Renters need production rental insurance, plus auto liability if a vehicle goes out with the order.
