Camera Rental in Miami
Miami is our home market. ASK Media Productions rents cinema camera packages into Miami and Miami-Dade from inventory we own and maintain ourselves, and we have been doing it here since 2006 – long enough to know which bodies survive a July exterior and which crews will be asking for what.
The bodies
- ARRI Alexa 35 – the reference for dynamic range. Miami exteriors are a contrast problem before they are anything else, and this is the body that holds a sky and a face in the same frame.
- ARRI Alexa Mini LF – large format, small package. Gimbals, car rigs, boats, tight Wynwood interiors.
- ARRI Alexa Mini – Super 35 and utterly dependable.
- RED Komodo 6K – compact global shutter for crash, drone, car mount and second unit.
- Sony PXW-FX9 – full frame with reliable autofocus, for documentary and interview days.
- Sony ILME-FX6 and FX3 – light and fast, for gimbal, handheld and anything that moves.

Glass
- ARRI Signature Primes 18, 25, 47, 75, 125 – large format with soft falloff, the current high-end commercial look.
- ARRI Ultra Primes and Super Speeds MK1 – clean, and characterful, respectively.
- Sigma Cine set 14 through 135 – fast and consistent across the whole range.
- Angenieux Optimo 28-76 and EZ zooms, plus the Fujinon Cabrio 19-90 for days with no time for lens changes.
- DZO Pictor, Sony G-Master and Canon L series for documentary and hybrid work.

Heat, salt and the things that kill a camera day
Two Miami-specific realities worth building into a booking. The first is condensation: gear that has spent the night in air conditioning and comes out into August at nine in the morning will fog, and the fix is time, not a lens cloth – so acclimatise before the first setup rather than during it. The second is salt. If you are shooting on the water, on the sand or anywhere with spray in the air, say so when you book; how a package is protected and cleaned afterwards is part of the order, not an afterthought.
Beyond that, Miami rewards preparation more than most markets. Wynwood, the Design District, Brickell, the Beach and the Everglades are all inside an hour, but permits, private property rules and parking vary wildly between them.
Rates, pickup and delivery
Cameras book daily, flat, or as a three-day week. We quote per job rather than publish a rate card – the honest number depends on the package and the run of days.
Free delivery covers a five-mile radius of our Boynton Beach base, which does not reach Miami, so a Miami-Dade job is a pickup or a paid delivery. We will tell you which works out better for your dates. Out-of-state shipping goes via airline cargo, and anything out on Friday and back Monday bills as a single day.
Questions we get asked
How do your camera rental rates work?
Daily, flat, or a three-day week – whichever fits the shoot.
Do you deliver to Miami?
Yes, for a fee. Free delivery only covers five miles around Boynton Beach. Pickup is always available, and out-of-state orders go by airline cargo.
Can I keep gear over a weekend?
Yes – out Friday, back Monday, billed as one day.
What insurance do you need from me?
Production rental insurance, and auto liability if a vehicle goes out with the order.
Book a camera package
Send the dates, the camera and what you are shooting, and you will have a spec and a price the same day. Call or text ASK Media at 954-683-3173, or send us the details. If you need crew and producers rather than just gear, that is on our Miami production page.
